Enhanced learning experience

-

“THE experience I got from Coventry University, in UK over the past four months has been really meaningful. I’ve had an unforgettable experience in the academic aspect as well as cultural exposure,” said Mohamad Azmirul Hazny Abd Hafiz, 21 who is currently pursuing a Bachelor in Investment Management at the Faculty of Business Management and Professional Studies ( FBMP), Management & Science University ( MSU).

This MSU President Scholarship holder has completed four months attachment at Coventry University through the MSU Global Mobility Programme ( GMP). This programme aims to provide global exposure to MSU students, especially in developing awareness and appreciation of cultural, political and economic environments as well as new approaches in expending business.

“In Coventry University, I am considered an Erasmus and Exchange Student. This programme allows you to either attend the university for a semester or to complete your final year there.

“In the 2015/ 2016 session, there are more than 200 international students who joined the programme. I strongly recommend MSUrians to take the opportunity and experience the global learning environment through GMP. It will provide a blend of valuable international exposure.”

“I was grateful to have been forewarned about what to expect. In fact, before I left for UK, I attended a comprehensive briefing at MSU,” says Azmirul, who is also MSU Student Representative Council ( SRC), session 2015/ 2016 president.

“I’m looking forward to expanding my knowledge and hopefully improve my personal soft skills along the way.

“The enriching learning experiences offered at MSU gives me confidence in developing my career to the highest level.”

The recipient of the President’s List and Dean’s List Award also expressed his thanks to the staff at MSU who played a part in his success, especially its president, Prof Tan Sri Datuk Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid, who contributed a lot to help realise his dream.

“His exemplary effort in building up a holistic and educated society for the younger generation had always caught my interest,” added Azmirul.

As Malaysia’s best teaching and learning university, MSU gives priority to quality education and the importance of creative teaching methodologies towards producing quality graduates.

Besides incorporating international exposure in the students’ learning experience, extensive industrial training components and personal enrichment competency elements are also blended into the programme of study to ensure graduates’ employability.

Until now, MSU graduates remain the popular choice among employers.

A graduate tracer study conducted by the Higher Education Ministry shows a 98% employability rate of its graduates entering the working environment. This rate is the highest among all higher learning institutions in Malaysia.
