Pioneer in field of arts
SINCE its establishment in 1967 as a pioneering non- profit institution offering art courses, Malaysian Institute of Art ( MIA) has played an important role in the development of art education in Malaysia.
MIA currently offers seven diploma courses in Fine Art, Illustration, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Textile & Fashion Design, Industrial Design and Music. All the courses offered are accredited by Malaysia Qualifications Agency ( MQA).
The institute has established international links with prestigious universities and colleges in the UK, Australia, Taiwan and China among others and opportunities are widely available for students who are keen to further their studies overseas through advanced placement or credit transfer.
MIA has been consecutively awarded a five- star ranking under Malaysian Quality Evaluation System for Private Colleges ( MyQUEST) since 2011.
This ranking is a testimony of MIA’s provision of a holistic academic curriculum, ample and up- to- date resources, good administration and well sought after graduates.
