THE Philippine Department of Tourism ( PDOT) once again joins this year’s MATTA Fair organised by Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents with the participation of travel trade partners.
To attract more tourists, Department of Tourism and Tourism Promotions Board is tapping personalities from a wide range of sectors to promote the Philippines and to speak about the wonderful destinations in the country.
Filipinos abroad were called to help promote the “Visit the Philippines Again” campaign of the Department of Tourism for 2016, inviting and welcoming Malaysians to visit Philippines Again this year to explore the new developments of the country.
New developments in the country in the last five years have opened new opportunities for the country’s travel trade sector.
The cultural semblances between Malaysia and the Philippines and their proximity make the Philippines an excellent leisure or business trip option for Malaysians.
Also low cost carriers operate short- haul destinations directly to the country’s top tourist destinations such as Boracay and Cebu.
Hospitality, Lifestyle + Entertainment, Sea, Sun and Sand are the hotspots of the Philippines.
This MATTA Fair, Philippine Tourism will continue to promote Boracay as the “Favourite Beach Destination” to the Malaysian market.
