ONE of the key reasons for the continued success of Binary University has been the excellent employability of its graduates.

“Binary University’s unique Industry Specialist Professional ( ISP) graduate model has helped thousands of business and accounting graduates embark on successful careers for 32 years since its inception in 1984,” says Datuk Prof Joseph Adaikalam, founder chairman of Binary University.

The five- star rating and the excellent graduate employability status accorded to Binary University by the Education Ministry is testament to its quality of education as a specialist university.

“To equip graduates with industry- specific knowledge, we have developed intellectual property in collaboration with industry players from more than 22 industries,” says Prof Dr Sulochana, vice- chancellor of Binary University.

Apart from the ISP advantage, the other reason Binary University graduates are highly employable is that it produces entrepreneurial accountants, managers and information technology professionals using the comprehensive entrepreneurial ecosystem that the university has invested in and established to differentiate its graduates from others.

Popular courses at Binary University include the BA ( Hons) Accounting, BA ( Hons) Business Management and the BA ( Hons) Entrepreneurship, which all offer excellent job and career prospects.

“Our BA ( Hons) in Accounting is among the few accounting qualifications in Malaysia that is triple- accredited. Our accounting degree is Certified Practising Accountants ( Australia)- accredited, Malaysian Qualifications Agency- accredited and provides exemption from eight papers of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants UK,” says S. F. Huang, senior lecturer and chartered accountant with more than 20 years of industry experience.

“Binary Business School equips its graduates with entrepreneurial skills and the ISP advantage, which makes them highly marketable. We are unique in that we immerse graduates in industry specialisations during their degree, creating value for their future,” says Prof Dr Peter Shephard, dean of Binary Business School.

Binary University offers programmes from foundation to PhD levels in accounting, business, computing, entrepreneurship, finance, information technology and marketing.

“Surrounded by a beautifully landscaped green park, food and beverage outlets, convenience stores and condominium- styled accommodation for 2,000 students within its Puchong campus, Binary University offers students value- for- money quality education as well as an environment conducive to studying and living,” says Prof Dr Sulochana.

“What we are offering at Binary University is an opportunity for youths to differentiate themselves in the competitive job market. Everyone has the potential to be successful but they need an ecosystem that can help bring out the best in them. This is what we are offering at Binary University. It’s not just an academic university but one with an ecosystem that can help students realise their maximum potential,” says Prof Joseph.
