Setting the right foundation

QUALITY pre- school education is important to develop holistic children with a good command of languages and strong interpersonal skills.

By starting children early, they can be moulded to be more positive and proficient students when they enter primary school.

Joanne Tham, franchisee of Smart Reader Kids Pantai Hill Park, believes that early childhood is the best period of time to educate children as they are receptive to knowledge and information.

“Children are curious and they like to learn new things. Many parents send their children here because we use the Smart Reader Creative Teaching Methodology to enhance children’s creative, imaginative and expressive skills,” said Tham, who is offering the Smart Reader Kids Classic programme.

Having students of different races, Tham is proud that all her students can speak and read very well in English.

“It is great to see the children speaking English fluently and writing correctly in a few months’ time.

“The significant improvement witnessed by the parents are not only limited to enhanced verbal and written communication, but also the children’s self- esteem and confidence,” she added.

Tham also praised the syllabus developed by Smart Reader Worldwide. The organisation understands that every child has a different level of comprehension.

Instead of presenting topics in a complex manner, the Smart Reader Kids modules are simplified and broken down to easy to understand topics with the level of difficulty increasing progressively.

Another happy and satisfied franchisee of Smart Reader Worldwide is Komathi Arumugam, better known as Mrs Ravi, who offers the Smart Reader Kids and Smart Reader Kids Intensive English Programme.

“The innovative Smart Reader Kids programme has gone through comprehensive research and development.

“The programme is uniquely designed to develop and elicit creativity in young children.

“I have seen many of our shy children blossom into sociable and confident all- rounders,” said Komathy, franchisee of Smart Reader Kids Taman Aman Banting and Smart Reader Kids Pusat Bandar Banting.

The quality and effective Smart Reader Kids and Smart Reader Kids Intensive English Programme have moulded her students to be effective communicators and writers with good command of English.

In addition, Komathy’s students performed well in story- telling, singing and dancing.

“The Smart Reader Creative Teaching Methodology and the small classes that provide individual attention to the students really helped in shaping the overall potential of the children,” added Komathy.

Komathy’s centres have many supportive parents. They enrolled all their children at her centres and her former students still visit and thank her for the strong foundation that she has built for them.
