Syfy HD, HYPPTV Ch 611, 8.20pm Some of us grew up reading Robert Louis Stevenson’s marvellous work, Treasure Island, while some would be more familiar with the recent Disney adaptation of the book with a sci- fi angle – Treasure Planet. Moonfleet pretty much follows the same storyline. In 18th century, John Trenchard, an orphan in the little coastal town of Moonfleet, dreams of finding Blackbeard’s lost treasure in the hope of gaining wealth and happiness. However, when he mixes with smugglers, he finds himself in a dangerous situation. Not only are the pirates after the treasure, but they’ve also put a price on Trenchard’s head.
