SHARP- Roxy Sales and Service Company ( M) Sdn Bhd ( SRSSC) has introduced a new model to its Mosquito Catcher Air Purifier line- up – the FP- GM30L- B – which helps combat mosquitoes and dirty air.
Sharp introduced the world’s first air purifier with mosquito- catching features – FP- FM40L- B – last year.
Like the earlier model, the FP- GM30L- B is designed with the “24- hour family protection throughout the year” concept in mind, featuring Sharp’s proprietary Plasmacluster Ion ( PCI) Technology that protects from viruses, allergens and microbes.
Its air purifier function offers protection from dust and tiny particles, especially PM2.5. The package comes complete with mosquito- catching mechanisms, reducing the threat of mosquito- related diseases.
These mechanisms are the result of the product’s design, featuring LED UV light ( seductive to some species), black body ( attractive colour for mosquitoes), narrow shape of side air inlets ( designed based on mosquitoes’ habit of hiding in narrow spaces), powerful airflow and suction of Sharp’s air purifier ( helps to capture and retain mosquitoes).
These mechanisms are non- toxic and harmless to people, making the product suitable for households with small children.
The FP- GM30L- B is recommended for a smaller air purifying area of 21sq m ( 226sq ft) and high density PCI of 16sq m ( 172sq ft).
FP- FM40L- B covers 30sq m ( 323sq ft) and 23sq m ( 248sq ft) respectively and carries a price tag of RM1,049 inclusive of GST.
The new FP- GM30L- B is available at an RCP ( recommended consumer price) of RM769 inclusive of GST.
SRSSC also announced the reactivation of its 1Home 1PlasmaCluster programme, which it previously ran from 2011 to 2013 as part of its drive to popularise the usage of Sharp products utilising its PCI technology.
The funds collected from the programme were used to support organisations such as the National Kidney Foundation, the National Cancer Society of Malaysia and the Malaysian Council for Children Welfare.
Under this programme, which began on Aug 1, RM3 is set aside from the sale of each Sharp product with PCI technology for SRSSC’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme.
