“Our Smart Mandarin class sees many Indian and Malay students participating to learn the language. Even though they found it very challenging initially, it is rewarding to see them speak the language proficiently at the end of the day,” says Lim.
Siti Nurbayu Yusoff of Smart Reader Kids Taman Bidara Selayang, Batu Caves, says, “Here at Smart Reader Kids centres, students learn how to work with one another regardless of race, religion or culture, especially in activities related to major festivals.”
Saravanan Marimuthu ( known as M. Vijay) from Smart Reader Kids Taman Seremban Jaya, Seremban, says his centre provides holistic learning that helps forge unity among different races via programmes offered at the centre, including the Tamil Programme.
