Ode to Taiwan

This poem reflects just how much this reader was enthralled by this magical island.

I DO not know if it was the beauty of the land or the friendliness of the people or the mouth-watering delicacies, but Taiwan certainly inspired me to record my recent trip to that wonderful country in poetry.

Sun Moon Lake, in Nantou County, is famed for its clear, sparkling blue waters set against a picturesque mountain view. This is the largest lake in Taiwan and has been a centre of aboriginal life for thousands of years.
