WHAT if you can start your tertiary education without paying any tuition fees?

That would alleviate concerns regarding financial matters in the current challengin­g economic environmen­t.

The First City University College allows you to register in any foundation programmes and if you continue with a bachelor’s degree at the institutio­n, you would be able to start your foundation without paying any tuition fees for the first semester.

In addition, First City UC will give a 30% discount off the first semester’s tuition fees when you continue your degree programme after completing the foundation course.

This All-In-One-Package offer is on a first come, first served basis.

First City UC offers students a one-year foundation programmes that is taught over three semesters.

They include the Foundation in Art and Design, Foundation in Business Administra­tion and Foundation in Engineerin­g, Science and Technology.

Those in any of the three foundation programmes can then pursue undergradu­ate degree programmes at First City UC in various discipline­s

The modules are specially designed to provide students with foundation knowledge and basic skills.

They also serve as an introducti­on to a more advanced level of studies in their undergradu­ate programmes.

Students are tasked with creating their own projects to develop their practical skills.

They are also guided by tutors and lecturers to discover their own personal interest in preparatio­n of pursuing specialise­d discipline­s in their degree studies.

Apart from the academic modules, students are expected to take part in extracurri­cular activities that include study visits to companies in the relevant industries of their programmes, working on community projects and organising team-building events.

These activities provide students with opportunit­ies to experience holistic education.

It also allows them to acquire communicat­ion, organisati­on and problem-solving skills. These are important qualities required by employers and companies.

Once the students complete their foundation studies and commence their degrees, they will benefit from quality, specially designed degree programmes that are run in collaborat­ion with reputable universiti­es in the United Kingdom.

Students pursuing programmes offered in collaborat­ion with these universiti­es, for example Anglia Ruskin University (ARU), will receive two degree certificat­es – one from First City UC and one from ARU.

This dual award certificat­ion will provide students with recognitio­n and validation from two higher education providers, giving them the edge to set them apart from peers.

The academic staff of First City UC’s Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Faculty of Design and Built Environmen­t and Faculty of Engineerin­g and Computing has industry experience and competent teaching skills.

They are supported with the latest in teaching and learning facilities and equipment to provide students with quality education.
