FEBRUARY and March are when SPM and STPM results are expected to be released, making it time for that important decision on further study options.
For those who find it difficult to obtain relevant information or make the right choice, the popular Facon Education Fair is back – a perfect platform to meet globally recognised institutions of higher learning. The fair is endorsed by the Education Ministry in recognition of its success and contributions to the education industry and human resource development.
Kicking off on Feb 25 and continuing until Feb 26 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre with over 250 booths, it is not only one of the best attended events but also one of the largest and longest education road shows in the Asian region.
What’s more, it’s timed around the release of the SPM, STPM, O- and A-Level results: Opening hours: Noon to 6pm – Kuala Lumpur: Feb 25 and 26 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre
– Ipoh: March 3 at Kinta Riverfront Hotel and Suites
– Alor Setar: March 7 at Holiday Villa Hotel
– Penang: March 8 at Jens Hotel
– Malacca: March 10 at Equatorial Hotel
– Johor Baru: March 11 and 12 at Persada Johor International Convention Center
Those interested in completing their higher education locally will not be disappointed as major local and award-winning institutions will be at the fair.
Visitors will also get a unique chance to meet representatives of renowned institutions from Australia, Canada, Indonesia, India, New Zealand, Russia, Taiwan, the UK, the US and others. The information gathered will help you make a better choice. With thousands of programmes being offered, visitors will be spoilt for choice. Many programmes not only emphasise academic excellence but also give emphasis to work experience and communication skills, boosting students’ employability. For working adults wishing to pursue postgraduate programmes, there is a wide range being offered.
Scholarship/study loan: A scholarship information booth will be specially set up at the Kuala Lumpur and Johor Baru venues to assist with information on scholarships offered by participating institutions.
Also, PTPTN (National Higher Education Fund Corporation) will be at the fair at all venues to disseminate information on study loans.
Academic presentations (Kuala Lumpur and Johor Baru venues): Visitors are invited to attend a series of presentations for a better understanding of the programmes, institutions and facilities conducted by the respective exhibitors.
Admission is free and seats are limited.
Career personality test (Kuala Lumpur venue): Booths will be specially set up to provide an opportunity for a free career personality test.
Career talks and special talks (Kuala Lumpur venue): The career talks cover a wide range of topics and industries. International Psychology Centre will also be giving talks on career, interest and personality and Easyuni will be giving talks on “Choose the Right Course for University”.
Don’t miss the chance to win an iPhone 7 and Mini iPad 4 in the coming fair. The lucky draw will be held in Johor Baru on March 12 (terms and conditions apply). Visitors are advised to bring along their result slips and relevant documents for more accurate assessment when meeting the counsellors and representatives of the institutions.
