Xylitol is a natural sweetener found in the fibres of plants. Xylitol does not break down like sugar and helps maintain a neutral pH level in the mouth. It also prevents bacteria from sticking to the teeth, thus preventing tooth decay.
Sodium lauroyl sarcosinate, a mild surfactant, is capable of inhibiting the growth of the enzyme that breaks down sugars to acids.
