Kek Lok Si Foundation has set up a RM500,000 fund to help students in need of financial aid, and applicatio­n is open to all Malaysian students aged 18 and above, regardless of race and religion. Sisters Yi Xuan and Yu Jing have a soft spot for sea turtles, and even published a book titled I Love Sea Turtles in 2008. Now, the paintings and drawings from the book are on display at Badan Warisan Malaysia. Check out the artwork by Yu Jing that visualises the story of a city girl who moves to an island and learns about the endangered sea creatures. Time: 10am-5pm.

Yoel Gamzou presents Gustav Mahler’s 10th and final symphony. Mahler’s work was written in 1910, a year before his death; only five movements of the symphony were completed. Gamzou, who will also lead the Malaysian Philharmon­ic Orchestra, will play his version of the symphony which he premiered at Internatio­nal Mahler Orchestra in Berlin in 2010. Je Regrette features the acting and singing talents of SarahLouis­e Young who plays La Poule Plombee, a troubled singer consumed by jealousy and unrequited love. This 70-minute play (with no intermissi­on) tells of obsession and loss, with haunting music and impressive vocals by Young and her co-star Michael Roulston, who plays her accompanis­t, Mumu. From the same creators of Julie Madly Deeply and Songs For Cynics, this musical won The Stage Award for excellence and five-star reviews at Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2017.
