Kampung flavours for breaking fast
LEXIS Suites Penang welcomes the holy month with a delicious array of Iftar offerings under its Mai Pi Buka Puasa Ala-Ala Kampung Ramadan Buffet.
Served from 6.30pm daily from May 27 to June 24 in a kampungthemed tent under the stars at the beachfront behind the hotel, it is the ultimate buka puasa feast.
Guests can embark on a journey of culinary discovery with the wide selections of appetisers, soups, mains, desserts and refreshments, that are sure to bring back fond memories.
The buffet dinner features over 100 dishes from local and international cuisines, including Arabic, specially prepared by the hotel’s talented chefs. Some items are dished up at live cooking stations.
Signature dishes include Char Koay Teow Kambing, Gear Box Soup, Chicken Shawarma, Lamb Kuzi, Ekor Lembu Assam Pedas and Ikan Panggang – all prepared with the chefs’ homemade spices and sauces that produce distinct tastes.
Start off with appetisers like Ulam-Ulaman with three different types of sambal, Kerabu Sotong, Kerabu Udang, Kerabu Pucuk Paku, Rojak, Buah Kurma Madu, Jeruk Buah or the must-have Lemang
and Ketupat.
At the soup station, there could be Soto Ayam and Sup Ketam Berempah. Then, look out for succulent treats like Ikan Bakar Kampung as well as Satay Daging and Ayam at the BBQ station.
For dessert, indulge in local sweets such as Kuih Talam, Kuih Lapis, Kuih Kaya, Kuih Sago, Kuih Nona Manis, Kuih Kosui and Kuih Ketayap. There is also Ais Kacang
and several flavours of ice cream.

All diners are entitled to stand a chance to win a Ramadan buffet voucher daily and a 2D/1N stay in one of the Lexis Hotel Group’s Properties weekly.
The hotel has a surau facility for Muslim guests to perform their prayers, especially those who come for the Ramadan buffet.
The buffet is priced at RM68 nett for adults and RM40nett for children and senior citizens above 55 years old. The first 1,000 early birds will get to enjoy the buffet at a special rate of RM58nett.
Meanwhile, in-house guests will get 15% discount on the buffet. In its effort to contribute to the community, the hotel will also be donating RM2 from every buffet ticket sold, to a selected orphanage.
Throughout the month of Ramadan, guests can also relax and unwind at Lexis Suites Penang with special room rates starting from RM340 per night.
