Banana leaf rice prepared with pride

-

PENANG-born Sri Ananda Bahwan is a success story that every Penangite can be proud of. It has come a long way from a small family-run Indian restaurant to the business empire it is today.

Famous for its banana leaf rice since it started operating in Butterworth (main branch) back in 1980, the Group currently has 12 restaurant branches across Malaysia, textile boutiques in Penang and soon Ipoh, a grocery wholesale store, and a halal-certified catering company.

The restaurants started out with South Indian fare but now also serve North Indian food along with Malaysian staples like nasi lemak and mee goreng. The Macalister Road and Tanjung Bungah outlets feature a multi-cuisine concept serving Indian, Western and Chinese-style dishes.

Dining at Sri Ananda Bahwan make for a memorable experience. Each delicious meal, prepared with pride and served with care, is of the highest quality and yet very reasonably priced.

For something different this Ramadan, head on over to the restaurants which have created six banana leaf rice sets priced at RM16 nett per person. Every menu consists of a starter, choice of rice with three main dishes, a drink and dessert.

The restaurants are open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
