Mystery mist

-

IT was a dark stormy night when I saw it – a white mist floating outside my bedroom window. At first, I thought it was a cloud drifting in the silver light of the moon. Then it took the shape of a skull. I was terrified and couldn’t sleep the whole night.

I knew I had to tell my friends about it. Fear gave rise to excitement the next morning. The journey on the bus seemed to take forever. Once I had told my friends about the apparition, they were very excited and anxious to witness what I had experienced.

I invited them for a sleepover in my house. As it was a weekend, they had no trouble getting their parents’ permission. It was 10pm when we adjourned to my room.

My friends were happily playing with my computer, while I set up my ghost detector. When the grandfather clock in the hall struck 12 midnight, my ghost detector’s alarm was triggered.

Suddenly, all the lights went off. It was pitch dark.

My friends screamed. In the dark, we felt something moving behind us.

I grabbed my camera and snapped a shot of the misty figure. We ran out of the room.

We were determined to trap the mysterious figure.

The next night, we waited patiently in my room. At the stroke of midnight, the apparition appeared. We used our powerful torchlights and shone on the figure. The figure screamed. I threw my ghost trap on it and we were shocked to see it disappearing in a black cloud of smoke. That was the last I saw of the apparition.
