First City Uni­ver­sity Col­lege (First City UC) helps you to dis­cover your bright fu­ture through the build­ing of a strong foun­da­tion from the mo­ment you first set foot in its cam­pus.

It in­vests in your ed­u­ca­tion by nur­tur­ing you to be­come a grad­u­ate who is in­dus­try-ready and able to se­cure em­ploy­ment as soon as you com­plete your ter­tiary ed­u­ca­tion.

First City UC stu­dents and grad­u­ates are highly soughtafter. Many of them were of­fered jobs be­fore grad­u­at­ing while some re­ceived on-the-spot job of­fers dur­ing stu­dents’ port­fo­lio show­cases and pro­ject ex­hi­bi­tions, which were of­ten at­tended by in­dus­try rep­re­sen­ta­tives and prospec­tive em­ploy­ers.

First City UC of­fers three uni­ver­sity foun­da­tion pro­grammes, namely Foun­da­tion in Art and De­sign, Foun­da­tion in Busi­ness Ad­min­is­tra­tion and Foun­da­tion in Engi­neer­ing, Science and Tech­nol­ogy.

Each of the one-year in­ten­sive course leads to fur­ther spe­cialised un­der­grad­u­ate de­gree pro­grammes in busi­ness, mass com­mu­ni­ca­tion, hospi­tal­ity and tourism man­age­ment, de­sign and built en­vi­ron­ment, engi­neer­ing and com­put­ing.

Dur­ing the year, you are re­quired to study for three semesters un­der spe­cially de­signed mod­ules to ac­quire ba­sic knowl­edge and skills you can ex­pand on when you pur­sue your de­gree pro­gramme.

These mod­ules will help you dis­cover your pas­sion and in­ter­est, af­ter which you can opt for sub­jects and elec­tive mod­ules re­lated to the dis­ci­plines you wish to spe­cialise in dur­ing the sec­ond and third semesters.

Upon com­ple­tion of the foun­da­tion course, you would be able to start your first year in the de­gree pro­gramme of your choice.

> In­dus­try-rel­e­vant pro­grammes

First City UC is com­mit­ted to mak­ing ed­u­ca­tion ac­ces­si­ble and af­ford­able to all with­out com­pro­mis­ing on qual­ity.

It of­fers in­dus­try-rel­e­vant pro­grammes at af­ford­able fees as well as var­i­ous fi­nan­cial as­sis­tance in the form of schol­ar­ships, in­cen­tives and at­trac­tive dis­counts on tu­ition fees.

Stu­dents who wish to pur­sue its foun­da­tion pro­grammes can take ad­van­tage of the all-in-one pack­age, which al­lows them to reg­is­ter for any of the foun­da­tion pro­grammes at zero fees* if they com­mit to con­tinue with a bach­e­lor’s de­gree pro­gramme at First City UC.

Stu­dents can en­joy a fur­ther 30% dis­count* off the first se­mes­ter’s tu­ition fees once they com­mence with the de­gree pro­gramme.

This of­fer is lim­ited to a first come, first served ba­sis.

The last in­take for the foun­da­tion pro­gramme will com­mence in July.

Reg­is­tra­tion is open for other pro­grammes at diploma, de­gree and Master’s lev­els for in­takes in Au­gust, Sep­tem­ber and Oc­to­ber.

Stu­dents will be able to en­joy the early bird dis­count off the first se­mes­ter’s tu­ition fees if they reg­is­ter now.

For more in­for­ma­tion about the var­i­ous pro­grammes, schol­ar­ships and in­cen­tives of­fered at First City UC, stu­dents are wel­come to visit the cam­pus dur­ing its June Open Day on June 17 and 18 from 10am to 6pm.

Stu­dents will be able to check out First City UC’s new cam­pus fa­cil­i­ties and meet the aca­demic staff.
