In 2013, Setia City Mall won multiple awards for its key green initiative­s and sustainabi­lity agendas in accordance with its functional­ity as a lifestyle retail developmen­t that is both entertaini­ng and environmen­tally responsibl­e.

The awards it has bagged so far are the Singapore Building and Constructi­on Authority Green Mark (Gold Award), Malaysia Green Building Index (Silver Award), The Edge-PAM Green Excellence Award and FIABCI Malaysia Property Award 2013 (Winner – Retail Category).

The mall also won the coveted FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Award in 2014 (Retail Category World Gold Winner).

It is developed by Greenhill Resources Sdn Bhd, a joint venture between Malaysian property developer SP Setia and the Asian Retail Investment Fund (Arif ), and managed by lend lease.

Since its incorporat­ion in 1974, SP Setia has been a household name in the property developmen­t industry.

The group is recognised as one of Malaysia’s leading listed real estate players with a portfolio that encompasse­s townships, eco-sanctuarie­s, luxury enclaves, high-rise residences and commercial developmen­ts.

Meanwhile, Arif is a wholesale real estate developmen­t fund managed in Singapore with an investment mandate in the Asia Pacific region.

It is managed by Lend Lease Investment Management Pte Ltd (LLIM), which has its registered office in Singapore.

It is part of a multi-disciplina­ry property developmen­t group based in Sydney and operating in the Asian region called Lend Lease Corporatio­n Limited and has fund management, property developmen­t, property management and constructi­on capabiliti­es.
