Make the world a happier place today

-

LITTLE things make such a big difference: like honey in your tea instead of sugar, a little bit of sweet can add punch to an otherwise average day. Here are some ways to help cheer up everyone’s day.

1) Help a family by promoting a local business you love on your Facebook page. It’s hard to build a small business so if your mechanic or your fruit shop is doing a great job, a short post with their name and contact is a lovely way to say, “Thank you!”

2) Tell someone they’re doing a good job. Stress means we’re often quick to criticise and slow to praise.

Take time out today to tell someone you appreciate their effort: even if it’s only the way the girl in the supermarket packs your shopping or the security guard who smiles when he sees you.

3) Gifts don’t need to be expensive; it’s the thought that counts. So buy the soap/shampoo/rice/ cookies/socks that comes with a “buy one get one free” or other promotion, and give the free gift away.

4) Brush the leaves off the neighbour’s part of the street too. Or trim that annoying branch that snags your top every time you park the car. Just go a tiny bit further than doing your own thing.
