Its volunteers comprise working adults and students who are passionate about empowering youth through education. For the month of Ramadhan, Global Peace Malaysia is hosting an interfaith event gathering of people from all walks of life and religious backgrounds, including refugees in Malaysia, to appreciate and celebrate unity in diversity. Global Peace Foundation will be collaborating with The Picha Project, who will be providing spreads of homemade food made by refugees, as well as accommodating a sharing session by refugees with the community. The aim is to provide an inclusive platform for the communities to interact, share and develop mutual respect despite differences.
Tickets: RM50 per ticket (includes forum by notable speakers, food made by refugees from six different nations, and donation). Time: 5.30pm-8.30pm.

In conjunction with their Sustainable Seafood Festival and World Ocean Month, WWF Malaysia invites families and friends of the ocean to join them for a movie and a documentary screening. If you’re a lover of classical music, then spend an evening listening to renowned Spanish cellist Ivan Torres and Spanish award-winning pianist Mireia Frutos who will present cello and piano sonatas featuring the works of Brahms, Debussy and Shostakovich. Torres has recorded for Spanish radio, television and film and has performed extensively in Spain, London, Germany, France and Italy. This recital presented by Kien Strings introduces two Hong Kong musicians, cellist Eric Yip and pianist Dr Crystal Lam. Yip attained his Master of Music from the Chicago College of Performing Arts under the tutelage of John Sharp and Richard Hirschl. Lam studied piano at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts junior programme at the age of five, was awarded scholarship for Outstanding Merit, and completed her bachelor degree with first class honours at the HKAPA. Children below the age of five years are not allowed at this event. Tickets: RM68 (normal), RM48 (student/senior citizen/disabled), RM61 (Dcard members; verification needed for ticket collection).
