Sinotruk T5G truck launched

-

THE Sinotruk T5G medium and heavy-duty truck was introduced into the local market by Sendok Group recently.

The chassis cab price of Sinotruk T5G is RM208,000.

The T5G has a gross vehicle weight of 18,000kg and is part of the Sinotruk T-series, which was developed by Sinotruk and European commercial vehicle manufacturer MAN Truck and Bus.

Billed as providing outstanding performance, durability, high safety standards and cost efficiency, the T5G has a 6.9-litre Euro III advanced MAN MC07 engine, producing 310hp at 2,300rpm and torque of 1,230Nm at 1,200 to 1,800rpm.

It uses a nine-speed ZF transmission and is rated with an average fuel consumption of 3.5km per litre.

The T5G uses the MAN TGS narrow cab design which meets Europe’s ECE R29 safety standard for truck cab strength.

Its wide cabin design provides a clear view of the road, and driving comfort is due to its four-point pneumatic cab suspension and air suspension seats.

The winner of 2.5-litre engine category was Jerry Wan Jok who travelled 208km with only 10.62 litre of diesel.

Runner-up was Anuwar Payakun and Dayang Hamdiah Abang Hadari was in third place.

There is ample storage space, and for rest breaks, the T5G’s berth width is up to 750mm which is better than the typical cab berth width of 500mm.

A sunroof and electric air-conditioning with a large filter ensures cabin air quality and ventilation.

Sinotruk vehicles come with twoyear or 200,000km warranty (whichever comes first ) for prime movers, one-year or 100,000km warranty for mixer and cargo trucks, and one-year or 60,000km warranty (whichever comes first) for tipper trucks.

For the 3.0-litre engine category, Ng Quek Peng was the winner, using only 12.33 litres of diesel to complete the challenge.

Ira Belanda was runner-up and Liew Kwong Vun was in third place.
