Cinema World HD, HyppTV Ch 650, 7.25pm This 2004 Argentine, French and Spanish film is a realistic look at the coming-of-age struggles of five 13-year-old friends living in a town – which as the title suggests – is approximately 100km from Buenos Aires. Each of the friends has their own problems: Guido is frequently beaten by his father, Damian suffers from identity issues related to his adoption, Matias is often thrown out of his house by his abusive parents, Alejo has just discovered that his mother is having an affair and the ringleader of the group – Esteban, is the only one with strong family roots, which means he bears the added responsibility of rallying his friends together. Together, the boys discover the trials and tribulations of adolescence and growing up.
