Knowing the industry

The Star Malaysia - Star2 - - Post Graduate -

THE burgeoning halal market has attracted the attention of companies across various industries and the consumers who were once considered a niche clientele are now deemed a promising market that is expected to continue growing not only in terms of size but buying power.

Companies are thus revisiting their product line-up and assessing their capabilities to enter this appealing market.

The challenge, however, is for companies to ensure they have a reliable source of raw halal materials as well as prove they can create products that meet the stringent requirements of halal certification and accreditations.

Universities recognise that entering the halal market can be a confusing endeavour and have taken the opportunity to offer both full-time postgraduate and short courses that focus on the halal ecosystem. Here are some of the related postgraduate courses available in Malaysia.
