THE International Medical University (IMU) welcomes prospective students and their parents to its Open Day on July 9 at the university’s campus in Bukit Jalil from 10am to 4pm.

IMU has been Malaysia’s first and most established private medical and healthcare university with over 25 years of dedicated focus in healthcare education.

Those who are worried about not being able to make it to the Open Day in Kuala Lumpur should not miss the opportunity to meet IMU’s faculty members at our Info Days.

The Info Days will start in Kuching on July 8 at Hilton Kuching followed by Kota Kinabalu on July 9 at Promenade Hotel. The Info Days continue on July 15 at Grand Paragon Hotel, Johor Baru and The Wembley – A St Giles Hotel, Penang.

The Info Days conclude in Melaka and Ipoh on July 16 at Holiday Inn, Melaka, and Weil Hotel, Ipoh. These Info Days will run from 10am to 4pm.

The Open Day and Info Days will give prospective students the chance to obtain first-hand information on how the university’s high-quality academic programmes (pre-university, undergraduate and postgraduate levels) can provide them entry to promising career opportunities.

They can also chat with faculty members about life in IMU and seek advice and information on a variety of issues such as career advantages of different programmes, application procedures, financing – including fees and financial assistance – and accommodation. It is also an opportunity to find out more about the full and partial scholarships for those with excellent academic results and the 25th Anniversary special bursary.

During the July 9 IMU Open Day, visitors can look around the university and its facilities. Current students will be on-hand as “ambassadors” throughout the day. This enables visitors to take advantage of the talks, tours and lab demonstrations.

The student-led campus tour throughout the day gives prospective students a look at the campus’ educational facilities.

The tour includes all of the main areas of the campus, including the gym, student centre, catering outlets, lecture theatres, the Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre, multidisciplinary and e-learning laboratories, the Learning Resources, research laboratory and instrumental room with a tableting machine.

This is the opportunity to learn more about the tools and technology available along with the academic support and services that the university provides to facilitate a rich learning experience and help a student achieve his potential.

Apply for any of IMU’s programmes during the Open or Info Days and get a waiver of up to RM800 (except for Medicine and Dentistry). This is your opportunity to apply for the July or September 2017 intake.

Students interested in a Diploma in Nursing will have the opportunity to find out more during the Open Day.

The Diploma in Nursing is offered by the International Medical College, a college established 24 years ago with a reputation in providing quality nursing education and is well recognised locally and internationally.

With its main campus in Subang Jaya and a branch campus in Ayer Keroh, Melaka, IMC is owned by IMU Health Sdn Bhd, which also owns IMU.

IMU Health Sdn Bhd is one of the key subsidiaries of IHH Healthcare Bhd, one of the largest listed private healthcare providers in the world based on market capitalisation.
