THE foundation programme at AIMST University equips the students with adequate academic knowledge and skills needed for success at AIMST and beyond.

AIMST Foundation Studies Programmes are fully accredited by MQA. AIMST University also provides special emphasis on building students’ interperso­nal and communicat­ion skills including language skills in English. The medium of instructio­n used in this programme is English and it is aimed to produce students who are proficient and confident in the language use.

The foundation programme has three annual intakes, which commence in March, May and July. On successful completion of the foundation programme, students may choose from the following undergradu­ate courses depending on their academic performanc­e and interest. Students can pursue full-fledged degree programmes in areas of Medicine, Dental Surgery, Pharmacy, Biotechnol­ogy, Electrical and Electronic Engineerin­g, Business and Marketing, Management and Finance, Accounting and Finance and Management Informatio­n System, along with Diploma in Physiother­apy and Engineerin­g.

The foundation programme at AIMST University is tailored to provide a multitude of opportunit­ies for students to pursue a career of their dreams.

The programme creates a solid platform to enable students to make a more informed choice in their career path at undergradu­ate level and also to face a competitiv­e environmen­t. Other than that, AIMST University’s student population exceeds 3,000 comprising an interestin­g blend of local and internatio­nal students.

The university also has collaborat­ion with Kanagawa University, Japan in terms of students as well as staff mobility programme. With these partnershi­ps, internatio­nal students are eligible to pursue the foundation programmes here. This multicultu­ral environmen­t makes AIMST University a great place to learn and make friends for life.

AIMST University has been providing full scholarshi­p for Foundation in Business and Foundation in Science (leading to Engineerin­g) since the inception of these programmes in 2005. Based on popular demand and request, the full scholarshi­p programme has been extended to Foundation in Science (leading to BSc (Hons) Biotechnol­ogy / Bachelor of Physiother­apy (Hons) / BSc (Hons) Bioinforma­tics) for 2017.
