KDK’s ecofriendly fans also feature an on and off timer that works up to eight hours, built-in LCD screen remote controls, nine speed controls and a sleep mode to ensure that the fans do not run longer than needed. Top-notch security screen

The Star Malaysia - Star2 - - Home & Living - Majestec Screens provide clear vision through the black mesh without compromising security.

WITH Majestec premium security doors and windows, you have an effective way of keeping out unwanted “guests” such as intruders, pests and insects while allowing clear exterior views and ventilation.

This Australian design uses the latest rust-free Japanese high-tensile wires interwoven into a stainless steel mesh for maximum strength.

The screens allow fresh air into your home, naturally cooling your living space and reducing energy consumption.

At night, windows can be left open without worries about insect bites.

Majestec products have been tested and they have surpassed standards for impact resistance, point load test, knife shear, jimmy and pull tests.

They also protect glass and timber doors from breakage and damage that may be caused by wind-borne debris due to storms, or even a ball from children playing nearby.

Majestec products meet Australian requirements and Malaysia’s Sirim Standard (AS 5039:2008) for security screen doors and window grilles.

In cases of emergency, Majestec products will not trap occupants. Locks and handles are specially designed for safe and rapid exit as they can be released from the inside.

Majestec security screens are custommade and come in a variety of colours to match your home decor.

Don’t pour too much detergent: More detergent for grubbier clothes sounds sensible but actually, it doesn’t work that way. When you overdo the soap, you get more bubbles and these protect stains from the actual stain removing. So stick to the directions, and use stain remover sprays to soak stubborn dirt before you chuck everything into the machine.

Invest in laundry mesh bags: Those cute tees with the sparkles sewn on, your delicate inner wear and special socks will be damaged by the average tumble of the machine. Laundry bags allow pieces to be washed without having them tangled, stretched and rubbed along with the rest of the load.

(It also saves some judicious hand washing.) Buy a selection of different-sized laundry bags as one size doesn’t fit all.

Dry coloured clothes inside out to prevent fading: Even if you dry clothes in the shade, the sun has a strong bleaching effect. So turn it all inside out before you put it in the machine, hang it up inside out, iron it inside out and then turn it right way for hanging.

Overdoing the fabric softener is also counterproductive: Fabric softener can make everything softer and smell nice, especially if you hang out your clothes outside to dry instead of using a dryer, but too much of it will give your laundry an oily feel.

The frames are powder-coated to fulfil a product lifetime of over 10 years. It requires low maintenance.

Just wipe with a damp cloth or flush with water and then dab dry.

Majestec’s product range includes awning windows, casement windows, hinged doors, French doors, bi-fold doors, sliding doors and windows, stacker doors, fixed panels, pool fencing, balustrades and fire escapes.

As many companies make baseless claims with no evidence as proof, it is important when choosing a component of your home security that you check into claims made by sellers. Majestec is available in Malaysia and Singapore.
