GSC Cy­ber Games 2017, the eS­ports tour­na­ment or­gan­ised by Golden Screen Cin­e­mas and Garena, will kick off this Satur­day with a com­bined prize pool of RM20,000.

As many as 64 teams will com­pete in the free-to-play on­line foot­ball game pub­lished by Garena, FIFA On­line 3.

The three qual­i­fy­ing rounds will be held at GSC Queens­bay Mall in Pe­nang (July 22), GSC East Coast Mall in Kuan­tan (July 30) and GSC Mid Val­ley in Kuala Lumpur (Aug 6).

The fi­nale will be held on Aug 20 and will be played live on the GSC Maxx screen at the newly opened GSC MyTown in Cheras, which the com­pany claims is the largest dig­i­tal screen in Malaysia.

“Our en­vi­ron­ment and tech­nolo­gies that al­low for a rich cin­e­matic ex­pe­ri­ence trans­late ex­tremely well to GSC Cy­ber Games for en­hanc­ing game­play and au­di­ence en­gage­ment,” said Lionel Loh, GSC se­nior mar­ket­ing man­ager.

Tick­ets are priced at RM10 each and come with a reg­u­lar pop­corn combo and FIFA On­line 3 gift pack­age worth over RM40.

You can pur­chase the tick­ets via GSC’s web­site, mo­bile app or its cin­e­mas.

Par­tic­i­pants who wish to take part can reg­is­ter at Garena’s web­site, or via a QR code at GSC’s web­site and Face­book page.

This is the sec­ond col­lab­o­ra­tion be­tween the two par­ties – GSC also hosted the FIFA On­line 3 Na­tional Cham­pi­onships in Oc­to­ber last year.
