Get in the Cyber Games
GSC Cyber Games 2017, the eSports tournament organised by Golden Screen Cinemas and Garena, will kick off this Saturday with a combined prize pool of RM20,000.
As many as 64 teams will compete in the free-to-play online football game published by Garena, FIFA Online 3.
The three qualifying rounds will be held at GSC Queensbay Mall in Penang (July 22), GSC East Coast Mall in Kuantan (July 30) and GSC Mid Valley in Kuala Lumpur (Aug 6).
The finale will be held on Aug 20 and will be played live on the GSC Maxx screen at the newly opened GSC MyTown in Cheras, which the company claims is the largest digital screen in Malaysia.
“Our environment and technologies that allow for a rich cinematic experience translate extremely well to GSC Cyber Games for enhancing gameplay and audience engagement,” said Lionel Loh, GSC senior marketing manager.
Tickets are priced at RM10 each and come with a regular popcorn combo and FIFA Online 3 gift package worth over RM40.
You can purchase the tickets via GSC’s website, mobile app or its cinemas.
Participants who wish to take part can register at Garena’s website, or via a QR code at GSC’s website and Facebook page.
This is the second collaboration between the two parties – GSC also hosted the FIFA Online 3 National Championships in October last year.
