A boost for KDU Penang’s programmes

-

KDU Penang University College (KDU Penang)’s academic partner, University of Lincoln (UK), has been awarded Gold – the highest standard – in Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE), a national independent assessment of teaching quality in higher education.

The TEF was introduced by the British government to help better inform students’ choices about what and where to study, raise the esteem of teaching, recognise and reward excellent teaching and better meet the needs of employers, business, industry and the professions.

A Gold Award signifies that the University of Lincoln consistently delivers outstanding teaching and learning outcomes for its students. It is of the highest quality found in the UK.

In 2016, KDU Penang had established a partnership with University of Lincoln where many of KDU’s degree programmes lead to dual awards.

This means that students will receive degree certificates awarded by both institutions upon completion.

This enhances the quality and recognition of their academic qualifications.

The partnership has developed a number of dual award undergraduate programmes in the fields of accounting, business management, computer science and information systems.

The programmes are conducted at KDU Penang’s campus and validated by the University of Lincoln.

The list is as follows:

– Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons) – Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Business Management
