Henry Golding to star with Blake Lively in new thriller.
HENRY Golding is going places after scoring the lead role in Crazy Rich Asians.
After the film wrapped in Singapore last month, Golding was booked for his next gig. The 30-yearold actor is set to star alongside Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick in A Simple Favor.
Directed by Paul Feig (Ghostbusters, Bridesmaids), the thriller revolves around Stephanie (Kendrick) who is determined to find out the reason behind her best friend Emily’s (Lively) sudden disappearance.
Golding plays Emily’s husband Sean, who joins Stephanie in seeking truth and justice.
The film is based on Darcey Bell’s novel of the same name.
Principal photography begins Aug 14 in Toronto, Canada.
A trained hairstylist, Golding is of English and Iban parentage. He grew up in England and is currently based in Malaysia and Singapore.

The series is expected to be shopped to networks and streaming services in the coming weeks, industry sources say. Aniston and Witherspoon previously orked together when Witherspoon est starred on Friends as Aniston’s ster. Witherspoon recently ade the jump to TV with the HBO drama Big Little Lies, which earned her an Emmy omination. For Aniston, it ould mark her first regular V role since the end of riends in 2004. Speaking to Variety in January, Aniston expressed a desire to return to TV. “I’ve thought about it a lot,” she said. “That’s where the work is. That’s where the quality is. At this point in my career, I want to be part of wonderful stories, exciting characters, and also just having a good time.”
On the film front, Witherspoon is in post-production on Ava DuVernay’s A Wrinkle In Time for Disney, and has romantic comedy Home Again bowing this September. Aniston will star in independent teen comedy Dumplin’, and was most recently seen in Sundance drama The Yellow Birds and comedy Office Christmas Party. – Reuters
