Henry Golding to star with Blake Lively in new thriller.

HENRY Golding is go­ing places af­ter scor­ing the lead role in Crazy Rich Asians.

Af­ter the film wrapped in Sin­ga­pore last month, Golding was booked for his next gig. The 30-yearold ac­tor is set to star along­side Blake Lively and Anna Ken­drick in A Sim­ple Fa­vor.

Directed by Paul Feig (Ghost­busters, Brides­maids), the thriller re­volves around Stephanie (Ken­drick) who is de­ter­mined to find out the rea­son be­hind her best friend Emily’s (Lively) sud­den dis­ap­pear­ance.

Golding plays Emily’s hus­band Sean, who joins Stephanie in seek­ing truth and jus­tice.

The film is based on Darcey Bell’s novel of the same name.

Prin­ci­pal pho­tog­ra­phy be­gins Aug 14 in Toronto, Canada.

A trained hair­styl­ist, Golding is of English and Iban parent­age. He grew up in Eng­land and is cur­rently based in Malaysia and Sin­ga­pore.

A Sim­ple Fa­vor is ten­ta­tively sched­uled for re­lease next year. Me­dia Res ban­ner.

The se­ries is ex­pected to be shopped to net­works and stream­ing ser­vices in the com­ing weeks, in­dus­try sources say. Anis­ton and Wither­spoon pre­vi­ously orked to­gether when Wither­spoon est starred on Friends as Anis­ton’s ster. Wither­spoon re­cently ade the jump to TV with the HBO drama Big Lit­tle Lies, which earned her an Emmy om­i­na­tion. For Anis­ton, it ould mark her first reg­u­lar V role since the end of riends in 2004. Speak­ing to Va­ri­ety in Jan­uary, Anis­ton ex­pressed a de­sire to re­turn to TV. “I’ve thought about it a lot,” she said. “That’s where the work is. That’s where the qual­ity is. At this point in my ca­reer, I want to be part of won­der­ful sto­ries, ex­cit­ing char­ac­ters, and also just hav­ing a good time.”

On the film front, Wither­spoon is in post-pro­duc­tion on Ava DuVer­nay’s A Wrin­kle In Time for Dis­ney, and has ro­man­tic com­edy Home Again bow­ing this Septem­ber. Anis­ton will star in in­de­pen­dent teen com­edy Dumplin’, and was most re­cently seen in Sun­dance drama The Yel­low Birds and com­edy Of­fice Christ­mas Party. – Reuters
