MBO Cin­e­mas is once again join­ing hands with St John’s Am­bu­lance Malaysia and the Na­tional Blood Bank for its an­nual blood dona­tion cam­paign. The theme this year is “Su­per­heroes”, which re­fer to blood donors. On av­er­age, hos­pi­tals in Malaysia need to pre­pare around 2,000 bags of blood to sup­port the needs of 1,000 pa­tients per day. So why not do­nate blood af­ter/ be­fore watch­ing a movie.

MBO will pro­vide each donor with an ex­clu­sive goodie bag which has movie vouch­ers, snacks and a va­ri­ety of vouch­ers from spon­sors.

The cam­paign will be held on Satur­day and Sun­day in all states, ex­cept Kedah and Jo­hor, where it will be held to­mor­row and on Satur­day. Time: Noon-6pm.

The dancers of the Tem­ple of Fine Arts’ In­ner Space Dance Com­pany will per­form four full-length reper­toires this month – three from Indian clas­si­cal dance styles and one from the con­tem­po­rary genre. The chore­og­ra­phers are: Mavin Khoo, Paramita Maitra, James Kan, Ng Xiny­ing, Mo­ham­mad Khairi Mokhtar, Muham­mad Fairul Azreen Mohd Zaid, Aarthi Paran­jothy and Umesh Shetty. Wind Of Nomads is a 90-minute con­cert fea­tur­ing African and Asian per­cus­sion. This is a cul­mi­na­tion of a three-year project between Hands Per­cus­sion Malaysia and Dafra Drums of Burk­ina Faso, West Africa. Wind Of Nomads is a metaphor re­flect­ing hu­man and cul­tural mi­gra­tion, the pas­sage of en­er­gies through­out gen­er­a­tions, glob­al­i­sa­tion and in­te­gra­tion.
