MBO Cinemas is once again joining hands with St John’s Ambulance Malaysia and the National Blood Bank for its annual blood donation campaign. The theme this year is “Superheroe­s”, which refer to blood donors. On average, hospitals in Malaysia need to prepare around 2,000 bags of blood to support the needs of 1,000 patients per day. So why not donate blood after/ before watching a movie.

MBO will provide each donor with an exclusive goodie bag which has movie vouchers, snacks and a variety of vouchers from sponsors.

The campaign will be held on Saturday and Sunday in all states, except Kedah and Johor, where it will be held tomorrow and on Saturday. Time: Noon-6pm.

The dancers of the Temple of Fine Arts’ Inner Space Dance Company will perform four full-length repertoire­s this month – three from Indian classical dance styles and one from the contempora­ry genre. The choreograp­hers are: Mavin Khoo, Paramita Maitra, James Kan, Ng Xinying, Mohammad Khairi Mokhtar, Muhammad Fairul Azreen Mohd Zaid, Aarthi Paranjothy and Umesh Shetty. Wind Of Nomads is a 90-minute concert featuring African and Asian percussion. This is a culminatio­n of a three-year project between Hands Percussion Malaysia and Dafra Drums of Burkina Faso, West Africa. Wind Of Nomads is a metaphor reflecting human and cultural migration, the passage of energies throughout generation­s, globalisat­ion and integratio­n.
