Inspiring students to explore nursing

A PRIVATE college with a long-standing reputation for providing nursing education, the Internatio­nal Medical College (IMC) will once again be on the road bringing informatio­n closer to students keen on pursuing a career in nursing.

Parents and prospectiv­e students can find out more about the available full sponsorshi­ps offered to students pursuing the three-year Diploma in Nursing programme.

The sponsorshi­ps will be awarded to students who meet the criteria during the selection process, which will be based on academic merit, financial need and socio-economic background as well as excellence in extracurri­cular activities.

These sponsorshi­ps are funded by Pantai Hospitals, Gleneagles Hospitals and other reputable private hospitals in Malaysia.

Upon graduation and registrati­on with the Malaysian Nursing Board, recipients of these sponsorshi­ps will be employed at one of the hospitals determined by their sponsors.

IMC is currently accepting applicatio­ns for the September intake in Subang Jaya.

Drop by its campuses in Subang Jaya and Melaka during the Open Day on Aug 4 to obtain informatio­n on the college and learn about its high-quality academic programmes (Diploma in Nursing, Post Basic in Intensive Care Nursing, Advanced Diploma in Midwifery and ShortCours­e for Patient Care Assistants), which provide entry into an exciting and career in healthcare.

You can learn more about life in IMC and seek advice and informatio­n on a variety of issues such as applying to the college, financing (including fees and financial assistance) and accommodat­ion.

If you have good people skills, excellent communicat­ion skills and passion for taking care of patients, apply during the Open Day or online.

You will be required to bring along both the original and copies of your academic certificat­es and MyKad for the applicatio­n.

Interviews will be conducted on-the-spot for those who apply during the Open Day.
