Soka Gakkai Malaysia presents The Painted World Of Khoo Sui Hoe II which features 60 artworks by Khoo Sui Hoe from 1965 onwards. The Baling, Kedah-born artist has played an important role in the art and cultural history of Malaysia, with more than 50 solo exhibitions around the world to his credit. This particular showcase continues from Khoo’s 2007 retrospective exhibition held in Penang. Khoo is known for his landscapes, creating mask-like faces, natural shapes and objects, both figurative and imaginative. Entrance is free. Time: 11am-5pm. Closed on Mondays. THE WHITE MASK

In conjunction with the fifth edition of The Cooler Lumpur Festival next week, local art connoisseur Sharmin Parameswaran has curated this visual art exhibition. It is based on a short story of the same title by Zedeck Siew. This exhibition will showcase the viewpoint

Edwin Ch’ng is a virtuoso fingerstyle guitarist who easily combines various styles – jazz, blues, bluegrass, folk and rock – in his performances. Amazingly enough, Ch’ng does not read or write music.
