• Certificate in Information Technology

• Diploma in 3D Animation and Motion Capture

• Diploma in Computer Studies

• Diploma in Games Technology

• Advanced Diploma in Creative Media DesGDn (VGsual EAAects)

• Bachelor of Computer Science (Hons)

• Bachelor of Computer Science (Hons) in Computer and NetdorI TechnoloDf

• Bachelor of Computer Science (Hons) in Games ProDrammGnD

• Bachelor of Information Systems (Hons)

The last four courses are validated by the University of Lincoln (UK) and upon successful completion of the programme, graduates are awarded two degree certificates.

Most students who have graduated from the Computer Science degree programme go into careers in the software industry, extending from small and medium companies to multinationals.

A number of graduates have continued their studies at universities while others entered the government service and teaching professions.

More than 95% of students were employed within the first six months after graduating.

Career talks and walk-in interviews

On-campus career talks and walkin interviews are regularly conducted for graduates.

For the diploma students, there are new opportunities to improve the dynamic learning with Oracle University’s e-Kit Student Guide on LVC (Live Virtual Classes) and Microsoft Technical Assistant (MTA) examinations.

The department has also initiated EC-Council’s Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH-V9) examinations for diploma-level students.

In short, if a student joins the Diploma in Computer Studies or Diploma in Games Technology, they will graduate with professional certifications that really stand out from other IT graduates.

The Department of Computing works closely with the manufacturing and software industry as they are committed to creating a robust and complete industry-driven curriculum to suit the students, rendering them fit to work right after their graduation. It also increases the advantage of research opportunities.

Employers include Intel, Dell, National Instruments, Motorola and more.

KDU Penang’s new intake commences on Aug 21.
