New MSUrians take the pledge
MANAGEMENT and Science University (MSU) concluded its orientation week recently with the oath-taking of 2,000 new undergraduates.
Prof Tan Sri Datuk Wira Dr Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid officiated the event as junior MSUrians of the 2017/2018 academic session pledged responsibility and unity in honouring their mandate for learning and discovery.
The junior MSUrians were led by Bachelor in Human Capital Management student, Muhammad Harris Muhammad Kamil, before MSU’s senior management and faculty members.
Instilling the cultures of excellence and oneness of purpose in its young charges is an important tradition of MSU.
Meaningful ceremony
The oath-taking ceremony was important and meaningful as it acknowledged the students as responsible “MSUrians”.
In his address, Prof Shukri reminded the undergraduates to make full use of their opportunity for higher education by excelling in their chosen fields and equipping their personal characteristics such as attitude, behaviour, thinking and creativity.
He hoped Orientation Week would prove beneficial for all students to understand each other better and begin a fruitful university life.
Prof Shukri also encouraged their young minds to go forth and discover, to learn the lessons of experience and to develop themselves into global citizens through the MSU Global Mobility (GMP), Global Leadership (GLP) and Global Internship (GIP) Programmes.

The oath-taking ceremony organised by MSU’s Student and Career Development (SCD) Department is testament to the university’s committed and consistent development of quality human capital.
