THE International Medical University (IMU) will be hosting an Open Day on Aug 27 at its campus in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.

The university is opening its doors to prospective students and parents from 10am to 4pm to showcase its full range of programmes, as well as the campus and facilities.

Those who are worried about not being able to make it to the Open Day in Kuala Lumpur but are interested to find out more about its programmes should not miss the opportunity to meet IMU’s faculty members at its Info Days.

The Info Days will start on Saturday, Aug 26 at both Grand Paragon Hotel, Johor Baru and Hyatt Regency Kinabalu, Kota Kinabalu.

The Info Days conclude on Sunday, Aug 27 at Hotel Jen, Penang and Riverside Majestic Kuching. These Info Days will run from 10am to 4pm.

The Open Day and Info Days will give you an excellent opportunity to obtain first-hand information on how the university’s high-quality academic programmes at pre-university, undergraduate and postgraduate levels can provide you an entry into promising career opportunities.

Prospective parents and students can also chat with faculty members about life in IMU and seek advice and information on a variety of issues, such as career advantages of different programmes, applying to the university, financing (including fees and financial assistance) and accommodation.

The day also presents an opportunity to gather information on its full and partial scholarships for students with excellent academic results and its 25th Anniversary special bursary.

Students applying for any programme during the Open or Info Days can get a waiver up to RM800, except in Medicine and Dentistry.

This is an opportunity to apply for the September 2017 intake.

During IMU’s Aug 27 Open Day, visitors will be able to get relevant information and also attend talks by faculty members on a range of healthcare careers.

There are also talks on “How to Choose a Career – Based on John Holland’s Theory of Career Choice (RIASEC)” for those who are unsure of the profession that is suitable for them.

Visitors will also get the opportunity to explore the university and its facilities as well as get a taste of life at IMU.

Current students will be on hand to act as “ambassadors” throughout the day ensuring visitors are able to take advantage of the talks, tours and lab demonstrations.

The student-led campus tour throughout the day gives prospective students a look at the on-campus educational facilities.

The tour includes all of the main areas of the campus, including the gym, student centre, catering outlets, lecture theatres, Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre, multidisciplinary and e-learning laboratories, Learning Resources, research laboratory and instrumental room with a tableting machine.
