Your ‘ticket’ to an American education

-

SEGI University and Colleges provides “academic tickets” to school-leavers who want to experience American-styled learning through its American Degree Programme (ADP) with its university partner, Troy University. SEGi has a long history of offering a world-class education by delivering balanced learning modules supported by a team of dedicated educators and has become one of the most preferred private higher learning institutions in Malaysia.

With its good academic standing, SEGi has teamed up with some powerhouses of education – American universities to prepare its students for undergraduate studies in the US.

Students can customise their education pathway with flexible transfer arrangements. The 4+0 option allows students to obtain their American degree locally and guarantee a globalised learning experience as the all-rounded curriculum that balances theoretical knowledge and practical sessions are regulated by Troy University on a regular basis. Alternatively, opt for 2+2 or 1+3 options to experience an increasingly multicultural environment within the American university.

SEGi’s ADP is an affordable alternative for an American degree at local cost with comprehensive and structured learning modules different from Malaysian-style rote learning. Some modules would be delivered by visiting lecturers from Troy University.

SEGi is proud to have a renowned university partner of great repute to offer several undergraduate programmes with various majors – Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (major in Global Business), Bachelor of Science in Communication Arts (minor in Promotion or Psychology) and Bachelor of Science in Psychology (minor in Communication Studies or Global General Business).

These programmes in collaboration with Troy University are developed to provide solid fundamentals in different fields.

Troy University is one of the best universities in the southeast part of the US, according to the Princeton Review while Forbes America’s Top Colleges also ranked it in the top 10 in Alabama. It is also accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, one of the six organisations recognised by the United States Department of Education and the Council or Higher Education Accreditation. Also, Troy University, through its Sorrell College of Business, is nationally accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).

Students now have wider choice for transfer following the inking of agreements between SEGi and four other prestigious US universities – University of Albany SUNY, Minnesota State University, University of Toledo and University of Wyoming. Some of these top-ranked universities offer scholarships for SEGi students depending on academic performance.

The University of Albany SUNY, among the top American research universities in 2015, offers scholarships up to US$4,000 (RM17,200) for SEGians with CGPA above 3.0. The other university partner, University of Toledo, also offers scholarships up to US$9,200 (RM39,530) for SEGians with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 on admission and is renewable. For those undecided on undergraduate majors, counsellors will provide support to ease your ADP experience at SEGi.

SEGi is also ready to offer advice and provide assistance in education loan application from the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN).
