THE Malaysian Independent Live Fusion Festival (MILFF) is back for the second year running, and the organisers have upped the ante with an even bigger and more exciting lineup of artistes this time around.

To be held on Sept 9 (5.30pm onwards) at StarXpo Centre in KWC Fashion Mall, Kuala Lumpur, this year’s festival promises six hours of wholesome entertainment.

The star-studded line-up features rising star R&B singer/songwriter Sid Sriram, veterfilm an composer Vijay Prakash, the always surprising playback singer Sooraj Santosh (pic), Bangalore-based prog-rock band Agam, and acclaimed singer and bassist Aalaap Raju.

There will also be two home grown artistes – Balan Kashmir and Stylomannavan – who are no strangers to the local Tamil hiphop scene.

Festival organiser Mojo Projects Sdn Bhd director said feedback from their first festival was amazing, so they decided to take it a step higher this time around.

“The musical culture of Malaysia is very much influenced by foreign elements, including India, which is a melting pot of music. There is so much more (to Indian music) than just film songs, and Malaysia does not get to experience that other side of originality and creativity. However, the success of MILFF last year is testimony of its growing popularity,” he said in a press release.

Ticket prices start at RM132. Get them online at www.airasiaredtix.com or call 0163271557. For more information, visit www. mojoprojects.asia.
