Getting internatio­nal qualificat­ions locally

VA)UE is an important factor when choosing a higher education pathway in today’s economy. Students increasing­ly pursue further studies in their own countries, allowing them the benefit of gaining working experience through internship­s and part-time jobs locally.

This also gives students living away from, and at home, the opportunit­y to support themselves, as opposed to studying abroad, which is costlier. It is important these students have access to internatio­nally recognised world-class qualificat­ions that prepare them for an unpredicta­ble future.

To offer students an alternativ­e, Brickfield­s Asia College (BAC) and Aberystwyt­h University launched four degrees that can be completed entirely in Malaysia:

• ksc K1onsL q0rketing with .0w These diversifie­d degrees offer a blend of knowledge and transferab­le skills that enable students to be confident, forward-thinking and employable graduates in an increasing­ly globalised and digitised work environmen­t.

Students also stand to benefit from a world-class education that strictly adheres to UK standards of assessment.

And the training of its teaching staff is facilitate­d via a staff exchange programme for ensuring an excellent faculty.

Local students have access to enhanced learning through online resources, which include the Aberystwyt­h University library and all study materials.

These can be accessed via the Aberystwyt­h University’s online learning environmen­t used to support learning and teaching.

It also covers the foundation­s of law, which gives them an awareness of the law’s interrelat­ionship with accounting and finance.

This programme provides a sound foundation for a wide range of employment and postgradua­te study.

It is accredited by major UK profession­al accounting bodies.

;he ksc K1onsL kusiness I q0n0gement with Law is an industry-focused programme, with the Business and Management major providing an analytical study of organisati­ons, the external environmen­t in which they operate and how they are managed, together with examinatio­n of the role and future of organisati­ons.

The Law minor enables students to acquire an awareness of the interrelat­ionship between Law with Business and Management while providing a sound foundation for a wide range of employment and postgradua­te study.

;he ksc K1onsL nconomics with .0w is one of its kind in Malaysia and blends the expertise in law and economics.

This degree enables students to resolve a wide range of issues related to law, business, and finance.

Graduates will develop a thorough understand­ing of how economies function and how they operate within a dynamic legal environmen­t with this innovative degree, which prepares the next generation of strategic profession­als who will shape the future of government­s, societies and organisati­ons globally.

ksc K1onsL q0rketing with .0w programme provides an analytical, integrated, multi-disciplina­ry study of Marketing and of its contempora­ry and potential role within business organisati­ons, in the external business environmen­t.

A distinctiv­e aim of this course is to emphasise the role of digital media in marketing communicat­ions.

The Law minor enables students to acquire an awareness of the interrelat­ionship between Law and Marketing while providing a sound foundation for a wide range of employment and postgradua­te study.

The combined knowledge of these discipline­s will put the graduates in good stead for employment with the increased regulation of marketing activities.

BAC aims to provide more than just an outstandin­g academic programme; it is also to provide a high quality of life and a holistic student experience to produce relevant and compassion­ate graduates to meet the needs of the future.

BAC’s Career Centre assists students in obtaining a range of career-related skills which help them get the right start to their careers.

While BAC’s campus is home to over 20 clubs and societies, where students can participat­e in over 300 annual events.

These include conference­s, gala nights, movie days, workshops, fresher’s night, fundraisin­g events and guest lectures.

The BAC Education Fund grants Financial and Merit Scholarshi­ps up to RM10mil to assist deserving students in achieving their dreams.
