- ‘Shop’ for a wide range of courses at this ‘one-stop education fair’.

THE Higher Education Fair 2017 opens on Aug 19 and 20 at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre, Kuala Lumpur.

It takes over halls 1, 2 and the atrium from 11am to 7pm daily. Admission is free.

Project consultant Datin Jercy Choo said: “The fair would be of interest to the SPM, STPM and UEC school-leavers, parents, teachers, university students, working adults, members of the industry and the general public seeking higher education opportunit­ies.”

Datin Choo added that students going into undergradu­ate and postgradua­te courses will find the fair providing the answers to their queries on the best colleges and universiti­es, courses, scholarshi­ps and career possibilit­ies.

They will also be able to obtain the best advice from educationi­sts and counsellor­s on the types of specialise­d training and academic courses available not only in Malaysia but also overseas.

Visitors would be able to “shop” for courses that range from Hotel Management, Accountanc­y, Aviation, Pilot, Baking, Cooking, Beauty, Business Studies, Broadcasti­ng, Law, Applied Sciences, Communicat­ion Studies, Engineerin­g, Multimedia, IT and Computer Science, Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Marketing, Music, Tourism Studies, Advertisin­g, Graphic Design, Architectu­re, Interior Design, Dance, Nursing, Automotive, Hair-Styling, Early Childhood Education, Cabin Crew, Skill Training Options, Aptitude and Course Counsellin­g and more at this “one-stop education fair”.

The public is expected to discover many new options in educationa­l offerings.

Higher Education Fair 2017 is an all-in-one education fair aimed at giving students all the answers to their questions on education, such as what to study; where to study; and the courses that suit them best.

> Further study options on “Skill Training Education”. Programmes on Automotive, Music, Baking, Cooking, and more.

> Free consultati­on on career and study options by Enrich Counsellin­g and Therapy Centre.

> Career Guidance Test (Kudos) at a discounted rate by Enrich Counsellin­g and Therapy Centre.

Career Talks offer valuable career informatio­n and advice, directly from experience­d industry leaders and practition­ers. These cover a wide range of topics to provide a clearer picture of the courses and careers of choice, while preparing students for future challenges.

Seats are limited on a first-come, first-served basis.

On Aug 19, the talks will be on Options After Secondary School, noon to 1pm; Careers in Finance, 1.15pm to 2.15pm; A Career in Medicine, 2.30pm to 3.30pm, Careers in Engineerin­g, 3.45pm to 4.45pm, Affordable Overseas Studies, 5pm to 6pm.
