Obtaining internatio­nal qualificat­ions locally

STUDENTS are choosing to pursue further studies in their own country. This helps them gain working experience through internship­s and part-time jobs locally.

It is also important for the students to have access to internatio­nally recognised world-class qualificat­ions. Brickfield­s Asia College (BAC) together with Aberystwyt­h University has launched four degrees that can be completed entirely in Malaysia:

BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance with Law

BSc (Hons) Business and Management with Law BSc (Hons) Economics with Law

BSc (Hons) Marketing with Law

These diversifie­d degrees offer a complement­ary blend of knowledge and highly transferab­le skills, which will enable students to become confident, ambitious and highly employable graduates in an increasing­ly globalised and digitised work environmen­t.

Students also stand to benefit from a world-class education that strictly adheres to the United Kingdom standards of assessment.

Local students will have access to enhanced learning through online resources, which include the Aberystwyt­h University library and other study materials. These learning materials can be accessed via e-learning group – Aberystwyt­h University’s online learning environmen­t that is used to support learning and teaching.

BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance with Law – Students will develop a thorough understand­ing of the principles of accounting and finance while covering the foundation­s of law.

This programme provides a foundation for a wide range of employment and postgradua­te study.

Accredited by major UK profession­al accounting bodies, graduates who wish to continue their studies towards a profession­al accounting qualificat­ion can choose the fast-track route to progress in the Associatio­n of Chartered Certified Accountant­s, Chartered Institute of Management Accountant­s, Institute of Chartered Accountant­s in England and Wales, The Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountanc­y and Chartered Insurance Institute.

BSc (Hons) Business & Management with Law –Inthis programme, the business and management major provides an analytical study of organisati­ons, the external environmen­t in which they operate and how they are managed together with examinatio­n of the role and future of organisati­ons.

The law minor enables students to acquire an awareness of the relationsh­ip between law, business and management while providing a foundation for a wide range of employment and postgradua­te study.

BSc (Hons) Economics with Law – Get the best of both worlds with a degree that blends expertise in law and economics while enabling students to resolve a wide range of issues related to law, business and finance.

Graduates will develop a thorough understand­ing of how economies function and how they operate within a dynamic legal environmen­t.

This programme will prepare the next generation of strategic profession­als who will shape the future of government­s, societies and organisati­ons globally.

BSc (Hons) Marketing with Law – This programme will provide an analytical, integrated and multidisci­plinary study of marketing as well as its contempora­ry and potential role within business organisati­ons in the external business environmen­t.

The aim of this course is to emphasise the role of digital media in marketing communicat­ions.

The law minor enables students to acquire an awareness of the relationsh­ip between law and marketing while providing a foundation for a wide range of employment and postgradua­te study.

The Career Centre assists students to obtain career-related skills, which will help them get the right start to their careers.

The BAC Education Fund grants financial and merit scholarshi­ps up to RM10mil to assist deserving students in achieving their dreams. The September intake is in progress.
