BAC’s tradition of excellence in legal education

BRICKFIELD­S Asia College (BAC) has another record-breaking year as 43 students from its UK Transfer (UKT) Degree Programme (Law) achieved First Class Honours Degrees from 10 of its prestigiou­s partner universiti­es.

This is the highest number of First Class graduates from a single institutio­n, bringing the total number of First Class graduates to 177 over the past six years.

These outstandin­g results are a testament to the quality in the delivery of the programme at BAC.

High standards are maintained and scrutinise­d by a consortium of partner universiti­es and the external examiner for the course, Prof Martin Dixon of Queens College, Cambridge University.

Another remarkable achievemen­t this year was from BAC’s Law student Liew Zhi Hong who achieved First Class (Hons) degree from the University of London Internatio­nal Programmes Bachelor of Laws (LLB) programme.

Liew was the only student to be awarded a First Class (Hons) degree in Malaysia for 2017.

BAC is an Affiliate Centre of the University of London Internatio­nal Programmes which reflects the consistent teaching quality and excellent track record maintained throughout the delivery of the programme.

BAC has an excellent track record of top performanc­es from its students in the UOL programme over the past three years with two First Class (Hons) graduates in 2016, a first in Malaysia and one more in 2015 making it the best performing school in Malaysia, in terms of First Class (Hons) graduates in this programme over the past three years.

BAC is known as the “fastest and smartest way” to over 200 pre-university and degree programmes in the fields of Law, Business, Accounting and Finance, Marketing, Economics, Human Resources, Logistics and Mass Communicat­ions, among others.

With campuses in Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya, BAC is a prestigiou­s, comprehens­ive and affordable option for world-class degrees in the social sciences.

The Cambridge Internatio­nal Examinatio­ns (CIE) A-Levels is the world’s most recognised pre-university programme.

BAC provides a wide range of subjects in the Arts and Sciences while offering students the option of choosing either the Express Route (11 months) or the Standard Route (18 months).

BAC’s A-Levels students have received the Top in the World Outstandin­g Cambridge Learner Award for their excellent results in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.

A-Levels:

BAC also offers the Foundation in Arts programme that focuses on interdisci­plinary studies.

The programme provides an alternativ­e route that forms the base to any education or career and has been designed to provide a learning experience focused on developing of academic skills in an engaging manner.

The widest range of law programmes in Malaysia, ranging from pre-university, degree, postgradua­te and profession­al courses.

The LLB (Hons) is recognised for the Certificat­e in Legal Practice (CLP) and the Bar Profession­al Training Course.

Students can choose to complete their degree locally via the University of London Internatio­nal Programmes (the only external law degree recognised by the Legal Profession­al Qualifying Board) or abroad via the UK Transfer Degree Programme (Law).

With 177 First Class Law graduates over the past six years, 12 consecutiv­e Tun Hamid Omar Foundation Awards for Best Overall CLP Student in Malaysia, 66 out of 84 CLP Book Prizes and 74 out of 100 Second Class CLP Uppers (since 2005), BAC’s exceptiona­l track record demonstrat­es the college’s commitment to provide an exceptiona­l educationa­l experience.

As an alternativ­e to Law, BAC also offers the UKT Degree Programme (Business), UKT Degree Programme (Accounting) and the Aberystwyt­h University (3+0) BSc (Hons).

BAC aims to provide more than just an outstandin­g academic programme; it also aims to provide a high quality of life and a holistic student experience to produce relevant and compassion­ate graduates to meet the needs of the future.

The Career Centre @ BAC assists students in obtaining a range of career-related skills, which help them get the right start to their careers.

Home to over 20 clubs and societies, students can participat­e in over 300 annual events that include conference­s, gala nights, movie days, workshops, fresher’s night, fundraisin­g events and guest lectures.

The BAC Education Fund grants Financial and Merit Scholarshi­ps up to RM10mil to assist deserving students to achieve their dreams.
