Making Malaysia happier

-

parenting guide, The Secret To My Modern Parenthood.

Its content was curated based on insights from the Kao Japan Lifestyle Research Centre, with Positive Parenting Malaysia acting as the official expert and educational content provider in developing material for the parenting guide as well as input from advisory medical and healthcare perspectives.

Kao Malaysia’s featured products are detailed in the guidebook as well, with helpful illustrations and information.

Thoughtful products for peace of mind

Having a newborn baby at home and adjusting to being a parent is stressful enough, so let Merries diapers help take the pressure off keeping your child clean.

These diapers are of high breathability, promoting moisture distribution and ensuring that your baby is comfortable and fresh all day long.

Kao Malaysia hopes to keep your babies comfortable throughout the day to maximise the happy moments you as parents can experience with your child.

Many parents work themselves into a frenzy trying to keep their home sanitary and as germ-free as possible for their child, on top of everything else they do to prepare the baby’s surroundings for his arrival.

Babies under the age of five are at heightened risk of infection due to their still-underdeveloped immune system. With Kao Malaysia’s Magiclean range, hygiene concerns can be put aside as you focus on bringing your baby home.

Personal hygiene is as important for parents as it is for children. Attack is the choice laundry detergent for parents, with unique anti-bacterial properties for sweat odour prevention all day, every day.

Attack laundry detergent comes in different advanced formulae for your different needs to keep you fresh and odour-free throughout your day, so you can spend more time with your newborn child and create happy moments together.

Friendly to families and the environment

Kao Malaysia practises sustainable development of products and services by innovation to assure consumers of its product safety.

“We are unique in that we have a chemical plant where we develop raw material from palm oil byproducts into our finished products. Kao Malaysia is a research- and developmentfocused company, which lets us maintain an eco-friendly development department,” says Fujiwara Masaki, president of Kao Malaysia.

“We work to understand and reduce the environmental impact of our operations throughout the entire life cycle of our products, from procurement of raw material to production, logistics, sales, use and disposal,” says Tan Poh Ling, marketing vice-president of Kao Malaysia.

Kao Malaysia also expressed its commitment in reducing the environmental impact of its operations, conserving biodiversity and conducting environmental activities through community engagement to further contribute to the well-being of the planet.

“In line with Kao Malaysia’s mission to promote satisfaction and enrichment in the lives of people, we are continually making product improvements from the perspective of our consumers. Our understanding of consumer needs is Kao’s way of conceiving innovative, value-added products,” says Fujiwara.

An ear to the ground

The Welcome to My Modern Parenthood campaign is able to return for a second phase due to a multitude of positive feedback from consumers in the first one.

From that feedback, Kao Malaysia was able to assess what consumers really wanted, how they wanted it and why it would benefit them.

True to its vision to be a company that is closest to its consumers first and foremost, Kao aims to earn the respect and trust of its most valuable audience.

“We hope to educate and help modern parents find smarter ways to take care of their homes and families to gain better control of their time. Being able to be a helping hand to Malaysian families is a true satisfaction for us.

“As long as Malaysian families appreciate and want this campaign to continue, Kao Malaysia will do its best to bring it back every year with more practical home care and parenting tips,” says Fujiwara.

Through this campaign, Kao Malaysia has been able to engage with consumers who in turn have a chance to engage with the products and observe for themselves how the products’ efficacy can help them save time on chores and, more importantly, to have fun with their families.

Besides promoting the Merries, Magiclean and Attack lines, the Welcome to My Modern Parenthood campaign and guidebook function to advise parents on how to make the most of quality time with the family.

Encouraging fathers to adopt a more active role in the household, reminding mothers to take care of themselves after giving birth and suggesting ways small children can help with household chores are just a few strategies detailed in the comprehensive guidebook.
