Testament of excellence
KDU was recently awarded The BrandLaureate Most Sustainable Brand Award 2016-2017.
The university college won the Brand Excellence in the Education – Private University College category.
The award was a testament to the institution’s steadfast dedication to its brand and academic excellence.
Held on May 22 at the Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur, the award was presented to the chief executive officer of Paramount Education, Datin Teh Geok Lian, by the Asia Pacific Brands Foundation of the BrandLaureate chairman, Tan Sri Rainer Althoff.
It was witnessed by the Asia Pacific Brands Foundation of the BrandLaureate patron Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and the President of the Asia Pacific Brands Foundation of the BrandLaureate, Dr K.K. Johan.
Also on hand to celebrating the joyous moment were KDU’s vice-chancellor Prof Dr Hiew Pang Leang, deputy vice-chancellor of academics Assoc Prof Dr Hon Wei Min, deputy vice-chancellor of administration Shanker Sathivellu and CEO Sheikh Fahmy Sheikh Mohamed.

The BrandLaureate is awarded by the Asia Pacific Brands Foundation (APBF) from a selection of nominees with criteria such as Brand Strategy, Brand Culture, Integrated Brand Communication, Brand Performance and Brand Equity.
