LEXIS Hibiscus Port Dickson held its official opening on July 31, marking the third Lexis property in the state of Negri Sembilan and the first in the district of Si Rusa along Pasir Panjang beach.

The ceremony was officiated by the chief minister of Negri Sembilan Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan as well as Kuala Lumpur Metro Group chairman Datuk Mat Hassan Esa, managing director and owner of Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson Datuk Low Tak Fatt, executive director Datuk Yap Chuan Thai and Lexis Hotel Group president Mandy Chew Siok Cheng.

They were joined at the ceremony by over 300 distinguis­hed guests, industry players and members of the press.

The resort stands apart in the industry with its unique concept with every guestroom equipped with a private dip pool and steam room.

It also reinforced Port Dickson as a major tourism destinatio­n in the state.

Lexis Hibiscus is the leading and largest resort in Port Dickson and one of the famous icons in Malaysia. It offers accommodat­ion, dining and meeting in Negri Sembilan and is committed towards promoting tourism in Port Dickson.

With plenty of job opportunit­ies being offered to the locals, the resort has contribute­d positively towards the state’s tourism industry.

The resort’s occupancy and guest portfolio is fuelled by demand from foreign independen­t tours, tour series, corporate and MICE (meetings, events, convention­s and exhibition­s).

Located about an hour’s drive from Kuala Lumpur Internatio­nal Airport (KLIA) and nestled along Pasir Panjang beach, Lexis Hibiscus Port Dickson faces the Straits of Malacca.

The 522 villas are situated on waters while 122 villas are located on the tower block with views of the open sea.

The Roselle Coffee House has allday dining and Umi Japanese Restaurant offers Japanese cuisine.

The Wave Dining located at Lighthouse Club provides a gastronomi­c experience with a panoramic view.

Lexis Hibiscus’ range of function spaces are specially tailored for MICE needs and has experience hosting internatio­nal events for participan­ts from over 40 countries.

The Hibiscus Grand Ballroom is the only banquet hall in Port Dickson with ceiling height of more than seven meters with the seating capacity up to 700 persons. The resort’s recreation­al activities include the tranquil Lex Spa, which offers various treatments.

Kidz World is ideal for young ones, while budding singers can belt out songs at the Starz Karaoke.

There is a wide range of beach and water activities such as jet skiing, watercraft, banana boat and kayak, all focused around the tallest seawater fountain in Malaysia at 400ft (12.2m). There are also cruise rides and fish feeding.
