Great way to discover the world

-

WITH Emirates being the preferred airline of MATTA Fair, it is now the best time to travel the world via Dubai. World Discovery Travel should be your first stop.

World Discovery Travel has been working closely with Emirates Airlines and Dubai tourism to promote value stopovers for Malaysians for over 20 years.

Dubai is conveniently just under seven hours’ flight from Kuala Lumpur and a great breakpoint for travellers to Europe and the Americas. It has something for everyone – the latest in theme parks, amazing variety in shopping and an architectural feast for the eyes at every corner.

“Usually an air ticket to Dubai would be in the region of three to four thousand,” explains Aida Ariffin from World Discovery Travel.

“So when Emirates offers discounted rates to Europe, Africa and the Americas, it’s a great opportunity to stop a couple of days in Dubai and enjoy all the city has to offer, especially as we have stopovers from RM199 per person.”

“We are really excited with this year’s offer as we managed to pull in support from Dubai Tourism and every passenger purchasing a stopover in Dubai, receives a 150 Dirham (approximately RM175 value) shopping voucher,” she adds.

World Discovery is a customised travel specialist and personal consultants are ready to assist you with your own holiday be it a company trip or a family getaway.

Most recently, it organised a trip down memory lane for the Kirkby alumni who celebrated Merdeka with the unveiling of a plaque in Kirkby, England last week.

This year also marks its 20th anniversary of conducting pilgrimage tours for Christians. When Inbam Solomon first took the helm, she had a vision of developing the Christian tour department and today World Discovery is synonymous with Christian pilgrimage tours to the Holyland, Turkey and Greece and offers special Christianinterest programmes to Europe and Egypt as well as customised itineraries for the onceadecade Oberammergau Passion Play.

Her first group to the Holyland was back in 1997 and her passion and dedication to enable pilgrims to make their dream a reality has flourished into an entire department. Word of mouth of many satisfied clients is a testament to her success.

However, she claims her real reward is hearing the testimonies the pilgrims share of their journey and knowing there’s an intangible investment at work.

“It’s been a long journey getting the company to where it is today and we are grateful for the team that shares in our success – my colleagues who have been with us over the years through thick and thin, the clients who have given us the opportunities to share their experiences and the industry partners who have collaborated with us,” says Solomon.

“This year, we have introduced dynamic pricing to further facilitate pilgrims’ journeys as we understand the weakening Ringgit is making it difficult for many. Also, all pilgrims making their journey with us this year are in for an extra treat.”

She adds, “I don’t want to say more as we don’t want to ruin the surprise.”

World Discovery believes that it doesn’t plan just trips but experiences and is ready to be of service to you.
