IT is ironic that a film loosely based on PT Barnum (the man who founded the Barnum and Bailey circus), should arrive the same year the circus closed down due to poor attendance and protests by animal rights activists. stars Hugh Jackman as Barnum who chanced upon the idea of creating the circus. To make it the greatest show on earth, he recruits some of the most unique people. His line to convince them is, “No one ever made a difference by being like everyone else.” There is plenty of singing, dancing and high-wire acts. reported that the musical includes original composition from duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. Michael Gracey directs from a screenplay by Jenny Bicks and Bill Condon. Besides Jackman, the film also stars Zac Efron, Michelle Williams, Rebecca Ferguson and Zendaya. –
