Girls’ Generation 1979
KBS World, Astro Ch 391, 8.55pm Not to be confused with popular K-pop girl group Girls’ Generation, this K-drama series depicts the coming-of-age tale of a group of teenage girls in late 1970s Daegu. The group is led by the second daughter of the family who owns the local toy factory. Then one day, a transfer student from Seoul joins their class and becomes the belle of the ball, creating jealousy and friction among the heroine and her friends. The comedy romance drama stars Cosmic Girls’ Bona and actress Chae Seo Jin. CNBLUE’s Lee Jonghyun is also part of the cast.
