Three directors, three actors, three masterpieces from the Nusantara states (Brunei, Indonesia and Malaysia) will be staged over three consecutive nights in Kuala Lumpur.
Escape from the hustle and bustle of city life as actors Sani Sudin (Malaysia), Ambadewi Soeroso (Indonesia), Sinta Debeturu (Indonesia) and Shafiee Mostar (Brunei), take viewers on a journey of discovery. Movies include Cakra (Brunei), Cemarawungu (Indonesia) and Di Bawah Tiang Lampu (Malaysia).
As a bonus, the actors and directors of the respective works will engage with the audience to share their experience and views after each performance. Showtime is 8.30pm. Tickets: RM10, RM15 and RM20.

Modern Grand Hotel is a storytelling live concert, with a cast of local established musicians and actors. As the title goes, narration and storytelling will be a major element of this concert.
The production is based on the entertainment scene surrounding Federal Hotel in the halcyon era between the 1950s and the 1960s. It will be presented in multi-lingual environmental theatre by Modern Nanyang, aimed at incorporating unique local settings with its own stories in the medium of song and narration.
The cast includes Nanyang songstress Yudi Yap, renowned Chinese dialect conservator Chong Keat Aun, actor Goh Wee Ping, from NTV 7’s Age Of Glory II, award-winning acclaimed theatre director Loh Kok Man, along with multi-talented music director Tay Cher Siang, who will lead WVC Jazz Ensemble.
Dinner shows are available for all three nights at 6.30pm (showtime 8.30pm), and lunch on Sunday at 12.30pm for the 2.30pm show. Buffet shows are RM212 while nonmeal shows are RM150.

Back by popular demand, Tales Of 4 Dialects returns with its earthy and touching tales and tunes. When the musical premiered in 2015, it not only touched the hearts of audiences old and young, it also gave the cast and crew much inspiration. The world might have changed, but some people and some things, especially our cultures and traditions, are never forgotten.
The Hakka, Hokkien, Cantonese and Teochew songs that are featured are given a new lease of life with a contemporary arrangement. These melodies and lyrics, together with the heart-warming stories, provide appreciation for the dialects in different and refreshing ways. Tickets: RM83-RM323.

Lovely Disabled Home (LDH) is organising its first charity run, themed Run For A Chance, the word “chance” signifying the attention and opportunity offered to the disabled community. The home has a dream and mission to create job opportunities for people with special needs, and started LDH’s very own brand of socks in 2015.
The aim of this run is to raise RM200,000 to support the operational costs of the home in the upcoming year, to advocate LDH socks, to promote public awareness towards people with disabilities and encourage inclusiveness within the community.

It’s not often that an animal shelter attempts to raise funds through an MMA Masterclass, but that’s exactly what KL Pooch Resort & Rescue (KLPR), with TNT Kickboxing, is doing.
Cris “Cyborg” Justino, UFC Featherweight Champion, will bring her expert combat skills to Malaysia to raise funds for KLPR’s adoption centre. The famous Brazilian fighter will impart the techniques which have kept her undefeated for the past 12 years. Tagging along will be a team of expert trainers, Ray Elbe, Dave “Hollywood” Hulett and Maury Browning.

She may have had a brief career, but Amy Winehouse left a lasting legacy, as her songs have been incorporated into the jazz vernacular since her demise. And that torch will be carried this weekend when singing siren Dasha Logan hits the stage with Winehouse’s former guitar player, Robin Banerjee.
Banerjee played with Winehouse between 2006 and 2008, appearing in the music videos for Back To Black and Rehab, and playing on six songs on the deluxe edition of Back To Black, including songs like Monkey Man and I’m Wondering

When Hands Percussion began 20 years ago, it was a humble drum circle with a burning passion to share the magic and the myth of the beat. Now, two decades on, the organisation has become the most recognised Chinese drum troupe in the country. In honour of the years of toil, and in celebration of its 20th anniversary, Hands Percussion presents the ambitious and rhythmically invigorating Percussion Paradise, which brings together all the disciplines the troupe has taught its students over the years. With the advent of newfangled technology, humans need to do little to take a good photograph. Pinhole Photography aspires to return the artistry to a medium largely taken over by machines and apps these days, by promoting creativity through limitation.
Photographs displayed at the exhibition have been shot using wooden pinhole cameras, and on film without any viewfinder, with only V framing employed – a stark contrast to the countless auto functions in today’s photography. Exhibition time follows the mall’s operation hours, 10am-10pm.
