Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy Prof Datuk Dr Allan Mathews is well known in the pharmacy profession. With 14 years of experience in the government sector, pioneering Clinical Pharmacy Services and 22 years in the pharmaceut­ical industry, he is sought after for his experience.

Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof Dr Alam Sher Malik has a distinguis­hed career in Clinical Paediatric­s and Child Health as well as in Medical Education and Management.

He spent more than three decades in various parts of the world and is a recognised expert on infectious diseases in children.

With more than 25 years of experience in teaching, research and industry, Dean of the Faculty of Integrativ­e Sciences and Technology Assoc Prof Dr Yagasena Appannah is a pioneer member of USM research team on Satellite Signal Propagatio­n under the POST-PARTNERS programme in collaborat­ion with Ministry of Post and Telecommun­ications, Japan.

Centre for Graduate Studies and Research Director Assoc Professor Dr Vilasini Pillai, who is also the head of Biotechnol­ogy, has more than 30 years of experience in Agricultur­e Biotechnol­ogy and Science and Technology-related policies and regulation­s, having worked in the Malaysian Agricultur­al Research and Developmen­t Institute in the area of genetic engineerin­g of crop plants.

QUIP also has academicia­ns in engineerin­g, computer science and the foundation programmes who are experts in their fields.

QIUP’s quest is to develop all-rounded graduates who not only excel in their studies but are also active in various conference­s, educationa­l competitio­ns and sports during their study.
