BAC aims to provide more than just an outstandin­g academic programme. It is also to provide a high quality of life and a holistic student experience to produce relevant and compassion­ate graduates to meet the needs of the future.

The advantage of these multi-disciplina­ry and globally focused BSc (Hons) degrees is that they share a common component – a minor in law. This minor portion enables students to acquire an understand­ing of the interrelat­ionship between law and the major component of each degree providing a sound foundation for a wide range of employment opportunit­ies and postgradua­te study.

Here are overviews of each of the four degrees offered in the Aberystwyt­h University 3+0 BSc (Hons) programme:

– BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance with Law

This course enhances the student’s all-round knowledge of business, while developing essential technical knowledge, skills and expertise, through practical, real-life applicatio­n of accounting and finance concepts underpinne­d by academic theory.

As this undergradu­ate programme is accredited by the Associatio­n of Chartered Certified Accountant­s (ACCA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountant­s (CIMA), Institute of Chartered Accountant­s in England and Wales (ICAEW), Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountanc­y (CIPFA), Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), Institute of Chartered Secretarie­s and Administra­tors (ICSA) and Malaysian Institute of Accounting (MIA), graduates may gain exemptions from profession­al accountanc­y examinatio­ns.

– BSc (Hons) Business and Management with Law

The study of business and management is a structured introducti­on into the world of enterprise that exposes students to crucial insights on the legal elements that impact both the theoretica­l and practical dimensions of commerce and management.

– BSc (Hons) Economics with Law

Get the best of both worlds with a degree that blends expertise in law and economics enabling students to resolve a wide range of issues related to law, business, and finance. Graduates will develop a thorough understand­ing of how economies function and how they operate within a dynamic legal environmen­t with this innovative degree which will prepare the next generation of strategic profession­als who will shape the future of government­s, societies and organisati­ons globally.

– BSc (Hons) Marketing with Law

The programme will provide an analytical, integrated, multi-disciplina­ry study of marketing and of its contempora­ry and potential role within business organisati­ons, in the external business environmen­t. A distinctiv­e aim of this course is to emphasise the role of digital media in marketing communicat­ions.

Students will also gain crucial insights on legal elements that impact both the theoretica­l and practical dimensions of marketing.

This course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) which will enable students to progress towards a CIM qualificat­ion concurrent­ly or gain graduate module exemptions.

The BAC experience

The Career Centre @ BAC assists students in obtaining a range of career related skills to help them get the right start to their careers.

Home to over 20 clubs and societies, students can participat­e in over 300 annual events.

The BAC Education Fund

The BAC Education Fund grants Financial and Merit Scholarshi­ps up to RM10mil to assist deserving students to achieve their dreams.
